Hero Arts Color Layering Waves Card

I got this new stamp set and made this beach scene card this afternoon. I am keeping myself busy because my pain level has raised with the coming tropical storm Isaias which is heading to Florida. I sure hope we do not take a direct hit from the storm. I used the Sand embossing power for the sand and White embossing powder for the sea foam. The sea foam was created by using a Versamark Pen along the edge and then dotted above to make is look real. The sky is Distress ink applied with Pink & Main Blending tool. I wanted to make a sunrise with a very soft color ink. The picture of  the card does not show that I popped up the ocean waves and used shimmer marker on them and the edge of the rising sun.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts Color Layering Waves and Papertrey Ink Fence Line Summer

Paper: CTMH Whisper White and Black Cardstock, Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Paper

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Pool Party, Splash and Blue Hawaii Hero Arts Reactive Inks, Squeezed Lemonade, Dried Marigold, Worn Lipstick and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink

Accessories: Stamp of Life Stitched Circle Dies, Versamark Pen and Pad, Ranger White Embossing Powder, Hero Arts Sand Embossing Powder, Pink & Main Blender Brush, Wink of Stella Clear Embossing Brush Marker and Scotch 1/2 in. Double Sided Foam Tape
Papertrey Ink Fence Line Summer Card

I love to make layered cards because they show so much dimension. I first used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to make the sky with my new Pink & Main blender brush. To make the sand I used Antique Linen Distress ink with the blender brush because it creates a soft shade of color. To finish the sand I used CTMH Pebble on the sand stamp. I popped the card up with craft foam. I then stamped my images and die cut them out. The Fence Line Summer stamp and dies makes a lovely beach scene.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Papertrey Fence Line Summer and  Hero Arts Color Layering Sea & Sky

Paper: CTMH Whisper White, Charcoal Cardstock and Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Paper

Ink: CTMH Mink,  Pebble, Pewter and Sweet Leaf Exclusive Inks, Antique Linen, Tattered , Mustard Seed and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Versafine Onyx Black

Accessories: Stamps of Life Stitched Rectangle Dies, Pink & Main Blender Brush, Cleverbrand White Craft Foam and Scrapbook Adhesives 3D Foam Squares

Papertrey Ink Fence Line Summer Card

I just got this new stamp Fence Line Summer and had to try it out on a one layer card. I decided to use CTMH Kraft Cardstock and I had never stamped on it. I didn't know that the ink colors change when you use it. You can not see the wood lines on the post. So lesson learned and I won't make that mistake again.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Papertrey Ink Fence Line Summer and Hero Arts Color Layering Sea & Sky

Paper: CTMH Whisper White and CTMH Kraft Paper

Ink: CTMH Mink, Almond, Pewter, New England Ivy, Smoothie Exclusive Ink and CTMH Daisy Pigment Ink

Accessories: None

CTMH Palm Paradise Bargello Card

I saw a video by Sandy Zimmer and wanted to try the Bargello technique using several different colors of green inks. After blending the ink stripes you cut the into 1/2 inch strip and glue down on the backing paper. You can do it in any size but you must use cardstock longer than the base cardstock. It is easy to stagger the strips and glue them down. Here is the link to Sandy Zimmer Video:

CTMH Wildlife Puns Card

I watched a video tutorial on how to make mini envelopes and had to try to make them. You start with a 2 x 2 patterned paper and find the center and then fold the side flaps in to the center. The bottom of the envelop you fold up at 5/8 inch and add a small fold on the tip. You finish by rounding the corner with a punch. Tip: Before gluing the mini envelope punch the rounded corner. It was very easy to do.  I found the tutorial at Laura's Creative Pages and Cards and here is the link with video:
