I just got this stamp in the mail so I was excited to ink it up. I made the background with the Wave stencil and four Colors of Distress Oxide Ink. I love how easy it is to blend. I then added wink of Stella clear glitter marker on some of the wave and on the octopus. I had a lot of fun making this ocean scene card.

Hero Arts Mermaid Kisses Card

I love my new mermaid stamps from Hero Arts. I made this card for my granddaughter Fiona's 7th Birthday. I used a lot of clear glitter marker and sequins. I also used Liquid Glass on the mermaid and the pearl to give it some shine. I think she will really like this card. For the background I used the magic stencil technique by Jennifer McGuire.

 CTMH Gnome Matter Card

I made this slim line card so I could use my paper pieced mushroom house. To make this home I found a coloring book page online and reduced it to fit my card. I started many years ago paper piecing so this was easy for me to do. I then started making cards which I love to do.

Stamps: CTMH Gnome Matter Stamp Set

Paper: CTMH Whisper White, Candy Apple, Green Apple and Espresso Cardstock, CTMH Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock and CTMH Hawthorn Paper Pack

Papertrey Ink Fence Line: Summer Card

I have been under the weather for a week now so this card took 5 days to complete. The ocean is a  layer stamp and it takes several coats of  Distress Oxide Ink to the first layer. I then had to completely dry between the inklings. This card looks so cheerful and it made me feel better once it was completed.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Papertrey Fence Line: Summer, Papertrey Text & Texture: Ocean and Stampendous Ocean Wisdom

Paper: CTMH Whisper White Cardstock

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink, Crushed Olive, Antique Linen and Tea Dye and Vintage Photo Distress Ink

Accessories: MFT Ocean Wave Die, Signo White Gel Pen and Scotch 1/2 in. Double Sided Foam Tape

Hero Arts July 2020 Kit Card

I made another card from the kit and this time I used the Teal Glitter Sticker Paper which was included with the kit. It was hard to take a photo because of the shine but hubby persisted and got a good photo. I ran into a problem with first card I made because I die cut the image and the hybrid ink was not completely dry. The tape to hold down the die stuck to the paper and removed some of the ink. Yikes! So I was not going to wait so long to dry so I stamped the reef image on almond cardstock. It was a lot easier that way.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts July 2020 Kit

Paper: CTMH Whisper White and Almond Cardstock

Ink: Versafine Onyx Black Ink, CTMH White Daisy Pigment Ink, Taffy, Key Lime Pie, Pool Party, Splash and Blue Hawaii Hero Arts Reactive Ink which were included with the kit

Accessories: MFT Sunrise Radiating Ray Stencil, Distress Ink Tool, Pink & Main Blender Brush, Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, Scrapbook Adhesive Foam Squares and Scotch 1/2 In. Double Sided Foam Tape

Avery Elle Hello Chum Card

I made this card for my grandson and I hope he likes it. I saw Jessica Frost-Ballas video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqZ1ySzgRL4  I tried to copy it her method with the sunray stencil but it was a flop because I made the upper part of the card too dark. I used my  glitter marker on them to create some sparkle.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Avery Elle Hello Chum

Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock

Ink: Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers

Accessories: Versamark Stamp Pad, Ranger Clear Embossing Powder, MFT Sunrise Radiating Rays Stencil, Tim Holtz Blender Tool, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush Marker, Pilot Black Gel Pen

Kitchen Sink Stamps Palm Trees Card

I was using my two new stamp sets and came up with this beach scene card. It is hard to condition a solid stamp to do the ocean but I persevered by using a white eraser on the stamps. I then used Versamark pad with my Distress Oxide Ink Pads and stamped a bunch of times letting the ink dry before attempting to stamp again. The palm trees are a layering stamp and they are easy to do.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Kitchen Sink Stamp Tropical Island Swaying Palm Trees, Papertrey Ink Text & Texture Ocean, Stampendous Ocean Wisdom, Hero Arts Color Layering Sea & Sky and Papertrey Ink Fence Line Summer

Paper: CTMH Whisper White and Toffee Cardstock

Ink: CTMH Toffee Exclusive Ink, Versafine Onyx Black Ink, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink, Mermaid Lagoon, Twisted Citrus, Mowed Lawn, Forest Moss, Tea Dye, Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink

Accessories: Versamark Pad, Ranger White Embossing Powder, Pink & Main Blending Brush, Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker, Scotch 1/2 in. Double Sided Foam Tape

Simon Says Your Light Card

I just got this new stamp set from Simon Stamps that I love Your Light. It has a lot of nautical stamps which are card sized. First I stamped the cards and colored them with my Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers and then I added CTMH Liquid Glass to give it some shine. I used a Pink & Main blender brush to make the sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and then used a homemade cloud stencil on the sky background to darken up the cloud edges. I really like how it turned out. To make the ocean I used a Hero Arts Waves Stencil using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink and then covered it the with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I used foam dots  and foam strip to pop up the ocean and the other elements of the card. I finished it with CTMH Shimmer Brush on some of the ocean waves.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Simon Says You Light, Stampendous Ocean Wisdom and Papertrey Inks Fence Line Summer

Paper: CTMH Whisper White Cardstock and Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock

I used the clouds stamps from Color Layering Sea & Sky but stamped them on the back side to make an island chain. To make the sand I used Hero Arts Sand Embossing Powder and heated it from the  underside of the card to get a nicer looking sandy beach. I finished off the waves with a clear shimmer brush.

Hero Arts Monthly Kit July 2020 Card

I got my first My Monthly Hero Arts Kit and Lover the Variety of Item included. I am so happy they included five reactive ink colors. I found that you need to use hybrid ink for the solid stamps so they will print evenly. For the large stamps I first use Versamark Pad and then I inked up with ink. The Versamark Pad does not charge the color of the ink.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts Monthly Kit July 2020

Paper: CTMH Whisper White Cardstock, CTMH Vellum Paper and Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock

Inks: Taffy, Key Lime Fizz, Splash and Blue Hawaii Hero Arts Reactive Inks and Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide Ink

Accessories: CTMH Silver Loose Sequins, CTMH Bitty Sparkles, Clear Wink of Stella Pen and Scotch 1/2 in. Double Sided Foam Tape
