Gina K Designs By the Sea 1 Card

Gina K Designs By the Sea 1 Card

I started making this card early this morning to try out my new Pickett Fence Life Changing Blending Brushes. They are so easy to use and do not cramp my hand. I made the background water  and Sky with five colors of blue Distress ink. So I blend the blue colors a lot. Next I used a mask to separate the sky from the water. I blended green Distress ink in the bottom corners. I stamped my sandpiper twice and colored one with my markers and fussy cut the body out. The second sandpiper I stamped on the background and only colored the legs. I stamped two types of grass on the green background. I the stamped the sentiment and the flying birds in the sky. After gluing my card layer together I used foam to pop up the sandpiper body to give it dimension. I entered this card in the Just Us Girls Challenge #569. We had to use masking which I did to separate the sky and the water. I also entered this card in Creative Fingers Challenge.

Gina K Designs By the Sea 2 Card

Gina K Designs By the Sea 2 Card

I love ocean related stamp sets and this one is awesome because the images stamp very clear. I first stamped the shell on the card where I wanted it.  I used blender brushes to add the sky and the sand.  Grasses were stamped on top of the shell because I was going to emboss the shell and place upon the stamped shell raised by double sided foam tape. I then stamped the birds and the sentiment. To finish I added small dot shell shadow with markers.

To make this card I used:

Stamp: Gina K Design By the Sea 2

Paper: Neenah #110 Crest Solar White Cardstock and  CTMH Daisy White, Toffee and Black Cardstock

Ink: Versafine Tuxedo Black and CTMH Toffee and Sweet Leaf Tea Exclusive Ink, Antique Linen and Peeled Paint Distress Ink and Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink

Accessories: Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers, Versamark Embossing Pad, Ranger Clear Embossing Powder, Pink & Main Blender Brush, Unimeix Blender Brushes and Scotch 1/4 in. Double Sided Foam Tape

Hero Arts December 2020 Kit Stained Glass Card

Hero Arts December 2020 Kit Stained Glass Card

I loved seeing Jennifer McGuire's stained glass window cards so I made one with the new Hero Arts December 2020 Kit. First I attached Stick It Double sided glue paper to five white cardstock sized to fit the hope sentiment. I then die cut them all and layered four of the die cuts on top one and other. I die cut just the outline of the hope die and then embossed the hope sentiment by using Sizzix Silicone Rubber Mat and Impressions pad. This embossed the hope die without cutting through and lets you know where to color. I used a variety of Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers to color the letters and shape. You can be a little messy covering because it is covered with the stacked die cuts. I attached this to the bottom die cut with small dots of Lawn Fawn Glue Tube. Next you add a thick layer of Glossy Accents inside the letter wells. Use a pin to pop bubbles and spread the glue into the corners and let dry. Attached the last hope die cut to the top to cover and stray marks. While the glue was drying I used antistatic EK Powder Tool and then stamped the large sunray stamp twice with Versamark pad and then with Hero Arts Sun Drop  Reactive ink. I then used WOW Clear Sparkle embossing Powder and heat set. I love how sparkly the sunrays are and the stained glass technique for Hope.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts December 2020 Kit

Paper: Neenah #110 Crest Solar White Cardstock, CTMH Daisy White and Lagoon Cardstock

Ink: Hero Arts Lemon Drop Reactive Ink, CTMH Lagoon Exclusive Ink

Accessories: Sizzix Silicone Rubber Mat & Impressions Pad, Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers, Glossy Accents, Versamark Pad, WOW Clear Sparkle Embossing Powder Lawn Fawn Glue Tube, and Scotch 1/2. Double Sided Foam Tape
