Hero Arts Bursting with Love Card

Hero Arts Bursting with Love Card

I made this Valentine's Day card for my dear hubby. The card base is oversized 6" x 5 1/2 " to fit the hearts in. I used my nesting heart dies to cut red and pink glitter paper. To make the heart I alternated red and pink to give the card some glitz. I die cut the white fun foam with the largest heart and glued the glitter heart on it. I stamped the Bursting with Love background with red ink. I die cut happy twice with white and black cardstock and glued them together. I embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts Bursting with Love Stamp and Cut and Happy Stamp & Cut

Paper: Neenah #110 and #80 Crest Solar White, CTMH Candy Apple and Black Cardstock, CTMH Bashful Glitter Cardstock and Darice Glittersilk Paper

Hero Arts Bursting With Love Corner Flip Up Card

Hero Arts Bursting With Love Corner Flip Up Card

I saw a heart fancy fold card by Chris Slogar I wanted to try to make. Here is the link for tutorial:

https://buckeyeinklings.com/2020/01/27/heartfelt-corner-flip-card/

Base card is 51/2" x 8 1/2". First I scored my red cardstock at 4 1/4". Then I cut a template triangle 2 3/4" and 3 1/2" and used it to mark score lines on the red cardstock card base. I folded and used my bone folder to make crisp fold that folds inside the card. I stamped the small stitched hearts with the heart background stamps. I wanted a little bling to the card do I die cut silver glitter paper and used a glitter brush around the hearts. I popped up the large heart with foam tape. On the inside I cut plaid paper to fit the card and the triangle. I repeated the other side with white card stock. I die cut a pink and red heart and stamped a sentiment that pops up when you open the card.

Gina K Designs Follow Your Dreams Card

Gina K Designs Follow Your Dreams Card

I made this card for my wonderful grandson who lives in Washington State. I first blended several colors of Distress Oxide inks for the background. I stamped the shore grass and then the rowboat. I stamped the rowboat, sailboat and the sentiment on separate white cardstock. colored them with my markers and fussy cut them out. I felt the shore looked bare so I stamped several grasses along the bottom. To make the cloud stand out I used Sea Salt ink in the sky to whiten them. I stamped the birds in the sky. I attached the rowboat, sailboat and sentiment on foam tape to add dimension. To preserve the card in shipment I rubbed in Micro Distress Glaze which will preserve the ink if the card gets wet and It gives the water some shine. I finished my card by adding ripple marks in a blue marker and then using glitter brush above them.

Hero Arts Honey Pot & Bee and Flower Wreath Easel Card

Hero Arts Honey Pot & Bee and Flower Wreath Easel Card

I have never colored die cuts before but after watching a couple of videos I decided to try it myself. I have wanted to try and make an easel card so I did it with hexagons. I die cut all the dies in white cardstock. I first colored the honey pot and dipper with my Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers. Next I colored the flowers and the bees. I die cut honey in black cardstock three times and glued them on each other to add dimension. For the base of the card I folded the cardstock in half and when I die cut it I placed the die a little over the edge.  I die cut a lot of hexagons in white, yellow and black. I glued the them to the base. I added the flowers, dipper and the honey sentiment.

I have entered this card to Just Us Girls #570, Make My Monday #141and a Blog Named Hero Anything Goes.

Gina K Designs By the Sea 2 Card

Gina K Designs By the Sea 2 Card

I love playing with my new stamp sets and I wanted to use the pier stamp since I got this stamp set. I made this card for the Paper Players Challenge #526. We had to choose three elements from a Tic Tack Toe using any way to get three in a row. I choose scene, sparkle and blue. I first made a mask for the moon by die cutting a circle on double sided adhesive sheet. Then I blended light blue ink around the moon mask. I also made the reflection on the water light blue ink. I used several colors of ink to blend the sky and the same for the sea after masking them off. I then embossed the pier with black ink and clear embossing powder. I stamped the sea grass with black ink. Next I carefully added moon craters and shading with a grey marker. It came out a little to dark so I used Hero Arts Sea Salt ink to soften them. To add sparkle I used a glimmer brush to make waves on the water. I stamped the sentiment in black ink on white cardstock. This is my first attempt to make a water reflection card so if you haven't guessed this card took a long time to make. LOL!!!
