Gina K You Anchor Me Card

Gina K You Anchor Me Card

I made this card for my dear sweet husband who takes such good care of my mother-in-law. I am also entering it to Gina K Monthly June It's All about the Background Challenge. For the background I used Kraft cardstock to make faux wood and swiped with the edge of my ink pad with Gina K Warm Cocoa, Tomato Soup and Black Onyx inks. I then used my Score-Pal to score 1/2 lines to mimic lumber. I used a black gel pen to the scored lines to make them visible. I stamped the flowers and partially colored them with flower color and them with green for the leaves and then ink the flower color. To make the anchor look old and rusty I stamped the whole anchor in Gina K Soft Stone ink and the swiped Ocean Mist and Tomato Soup inks. I stamped the sentiment and big flower and popped them up for dimension. I used my ScanNCut to cut the card elements. I am so excited that my card was one of three winners in Gina K's June monthly It's all about the Background Challenge.

To make this card I used:
