Hero Arts Deeply in Love Card

I am loving the new Hero Arts stamp set Deeply in Love. My husband was in the Navy and served on a submarine so I want to make a card for him. I first embossed the School of Fish with Versamark and Blueprint Sketch  Distress Oxide Ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the emboss resist technique by inking over the background with three Distress Oxide Inks. I sprayed the background with water and sopped it up with a paper towel. I then wiped off card with a paper towel to remove the ink over the embossed fish and reheated the card with heat gun to make the fish shiny. I die cut three portholes, glued them together and embossed with gold embossing powder.  Next I used my Spectrum Noir Tri Blend markers to color my images. To make the porthole shine I added a circle of acetate under the porthole. I used foam tape to elevate the porthole. My hubby loved it and said that I outdid myself on this card.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Hero Arts Deeply in Love and Hero Arts School of Fish Bold Print

Paper: Spectrum Noir Ultra Smooth Cardstock

Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Versafine Onyx Black, Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide Ink, Lucky Clover Distress Ink and Spectrum Noir Tri Blend Markers

Accessories: Hero Arts Porthole Fancy Die, Hero Arts Coral Fancy Die, Stamps of Life Stitched Circle Die,  Paper Wishes Acetate Sheet, Versamark Pad, Ranger Clear and Fine Gold Embossing Powder, Pink And Main Blender Brush, Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Marker and Scotch 1/2 in. Double Sided Foam Tape
