I embossed the butterfly with the lighter yellow and used a Prismacolor pencil for the darker and the black.

Gina K Lace Flowers Tent Topper Card

Gina K Lace Flowers Tent Topper Card

I watched Gina K's Stamp & Chat and she demonstrated how to make a tent topper card with partial embossing. It looked like fun because I love fancy fold cards. I embossed the flowers and the leaves with white embossing power on white cardstock. I then used my blending brushed and applied Distress Candy apple darker in the center and fading out beyond the flower so that you would not see the white around the die cut. I used a Crimson Red Prismacolor pencil and darken the inner part of the petals and used a stump with Gamsol to blend to the ends. The leaves were so small I just used Apple Green Prismacolor pencil and faded out around the leaves so not to show white on die cut. I stamped my sentiment and then partially embossed the folder and used my Scor-Pal to emboss a line at the end of embossed section. I finished with some red enamel dots.

To make this card I used:

Stamps: Gina K Lace Flowers

Paper: Neenah #110 Classic Crest Solar White and CTMH Black and Candy Apple Cardstock

Gina K & Hero Arts Friendship Blooms Card

Gina K & Hero Arts Friendship Blooms Card

I watched a Stamp & Chat with Gina K and she showed us a new technique. It is called inset coloring technique with colored pencils and Gamsol. It is a little tricky to stamp the same image on the white and gray cardstock. To fill the corners I stamped leaves on my Misti on the white and and change to grey not moving my stamp I did this around all the edges. I colored all the flowers and with a Prismacolor pencil and then blend them to the tips leaving a white space at the top of the petal. I then colored the leaves with two different pencils. I then die cut a rectangle out of my colored white cardstock trying to get is centered. I made a black cardstock border on the white and the gray cardstock. I attached it to the card base and the added some bling clear sparkles. Link to Gina K Video:

Stencil Shaker Card

I watched the latest Stamp & Chat and Gina K showed how to use two stencils on a card. The top one is in vellum paper. I stamped the Mermaid Scales on white paper with blue ink and I stamped the sunrise stencil with yellow and lightened it with sea salt on vellum. I decided that this technique would make a perfect shaker card. I die cut the oval out of white cardstock and then used the die larger with the original oval die and cut an outline. I added Mermaid Tails sequins after adding two layers of double sided tape between the vellum and the stamped cardstock. Here is the link:
